Review of Kingfisher Airlines

Kingfisher is one of the premium Airlines from India and people can find many luxury items included in their flights. Kingfisher operates domestic flights in India with two different names of Kingfisher and Kingfisher Red. Kingfisher Red is economical airline service from Kingfisher which covers small metro cities and tourist destinations. For major cities of India like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai etc where large numbers of people travel every day, Kingfisher operate its Kingfisher Class for economy Class passengers and Kingfisher First for Business class passengers.

These planes have world class in-flight entertainment system with live TV channels (in some flights) and FM radio stations and they also offer complementary meal on these flights whereas Kingfisher Red flights generally do not have in-flight entertainment system and no complimentary meal on Kingfisher Red flights with effect from 15 Jan, 2011 (though traveller will have option of buying food on board). It was fine experience for me to travel on both these options of Kingfisher Airlines. Food was fine in Kingfisher Class flight while it was very ordinary in Kingfisher Red flight (Now no complimentary food from 15 Jan, 2011). In-flight entertainment systems were working fine except few channel failures.

There was considerable problem with seating arrangements as some seats were bending more backward thus causing problem to passengers seating on back seats. Kingfisher needs to do more regular maintenance of its flights and solve these kinds of problems as they appear. Behaviour of Cabin crew was fine and they were giving proper response to all queries of travellers. Flights were also on time except 10 minutes delay on Delhi-Chennai route. I will rate Kingfisher airline 6.5 out of 10 and hope Kingfisher Airline will take care of problems mentioned above.

Beautiful Mahakaleshwar Pandoi Devta ji Temple at Pandoa (Shimla)

You are aware of my road trip on the stretch Nalagrah-Ramshehr-Arki-Basantpur-Luhri -ANNI. When from Basantpur-Tatapani Road, we take a right turn on MDR 22 towards Luhri and Rampur then we follow the Satluj river continuously and get a chance to see communities living near Satluj river and in this valley. We also get a chance to see their culture and beliefs. Today, I am going to talk about the Pandoi Devta temple situated just a few meters away from this road at Pandoa village. Himachal Pradesh can be known as a place of thousands of deities; therefore, we say it the land of Gods. This temple is not visible from the road and you need to take an unpaved road that is 300 meters long to reach this temple. Pandoi Devta temple is a set of one main temple and two Kothis.  At this place, we can find the same style of Shivlinga as we find at the Ujjain; therefore, this place is also known as Mahakaleshwar Pandoi Devta ji Shahib. It is believed that this Shivlinga was created by Pan...

My Journey to Masroor Rock Cut Temples (Kangra, Himachal Pradesh) with Pictures and Review

In this post, I am going to share the experience of my recent visit to famous Rock Cut Temples in Masroor Village of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh. This village is about 38 KM away from Kangra Town and here we can see 15 rock-cut temples in Indo-Aryan style. I came to know about this place through the pictures of a friend on Facebook. This place looked very attractive in pictures so I decided to visit this place. I took the route through Dehra town situated at the bank of Beas river. The disadvantage of taking this route is poor road conditions. It is around 35 KM from Dehra. After a journey of one hour from Dehra, I reached the Masroor Rock Cut Temple site. When you reach the temple site, then you first see the backside of the temples.                                                          Masroor Rock Cut Temples Th...

Journey to Hill Station Paneu (Paneo) and Naag Temple (Lesser Known Gem of Hills)

I always love to visit hilltops because they provide the ultimate beauty and adventure. My journeys to Hatu Peak Narkanda ,  Prashar Lake in Mandi , and to the ancient wooden temple of Skhati Devi in Chhatrari  are some of its examples. This time, I got a chance to visit an ancient Naag Temple situated at Paneu (Paneo) hill station where a British rest house is situated. This hill station and Naag temple are situated 7 KM away from Kungash in Anni Tehsil of Kullu. The ancient Naag Temple is situated at walking distance from the main top and gets a chance to walk through the tall (some are around 50 feet of height) deodar (Pine) Trees. The last six-kilometer road to the Paneo is not metaled and it is very narrow at some points accompanied by a steep climb. This area is predominately an apple-growing belt and we can find many apple orchids on the way.  Around the temple, we can find a small pond that gets its water from rain. The temple also resembles the famous Kamro...

Every year, large numbers of pilgrims and tourists visit this place to pay respects to Maa Chamunda. This place is situated in the foothills of Dhauladhar; therefore, people can enjoy great scenic beauty around this temple.
