 Read in Hindi Kangra Fort is one of the largest and famous forts present in Himachal Pradesh. The main attraction of the fort is its strategic location which gives its an advantage over the enemies for many centuries. This fort is constructed on the confluence of two rivers in such a way that it is surrounded by steep natural walls from the three sides. It is believed very few outside attackers were able to win this fort in its long history. A long history of Katoch rulers is also associated with this fort who ruled it for the longest time. It was believed that those who have the fort also have control over this area.  Today, this fort is under the archeological department of India and they have worked well to restore its damaged parts. I have earlier also posted pictures and videos of Kangra Toy Train. This time again, I am back with another video of the Kangra Toy Train. This video is taken from a distance unlike the previous video ( Click Here to See ) which was taken from close. I often get a chance to see this train because the route of this train and my native village is same. This narrow gauge train travels 164 KM distance from Pathankot in Plains to the Joginder Nagar in the Hills. Three years back, I added few pics and info of Kangra Valley Toy Train . This train starts from Pathankot in Pains and ends in Jogindernagar in Hills by traveling a distance of 164 KM. Overall, journey on this train is very interesting and scenic because the train passes through many beautiful locations and high bridges. The train movements on this route started on 1929 and it was constructed by the  then British Government . In winters, one can see snow filled  Dhauladhar hills  while traveling on this train. Though, the service on this train network sometimes stops in the rainy season because of damage to the rail tracks. Those who want to enjoy the beauty of the Kangra belt of Himachal Pradesh, they must travel on this train because the Kangra Valley toy train offers a great option to explore the beauty of Kangra Valley. In this post, I am going to share the experience of my recent visit to famous Rock Cut Temples in Masroor Village of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh. This village is about 38 KM away from Kangra Town and here we can see 15 rock-cut temples in Indo-Aryan style. I came to know about this place through the pictures of a friend on Facebook. This place looked very attractive in pictures so I decided to visit this place. I took the route through Dehra town situated at the bank of Beas river. The disadvantage of taking this route is poor road conditions. It is around 35 KM from Dehra. After a journey of one hour from Dehra, I reached the Masroor Rock Cut Temple site. This train runs on the Pathankot-Jawalamukhi-Kangra-Palampur-Baijnath-Joginder Nagar route and it is a meter gauge rail line. By Travelling on this train, people can find great opportunity to explore the beauty of Kangra Valley and snow filled Dhauladhar hills. This Train Line is 164 KM long and train movement on this route started in 1929. On the way, people can watch many beautiful landscapes, high bridges, tunnels, rivers, green fields and snow filled hills. This train travels at very slow speed and therefore, it takes much longer time to complete the whole journey as compared to the motor road; however, long time spent on this route does not get wasted because people enjoy beautiful of Kangra Valley. Being in Himachal in rainy season provides a great opportunity to witness many beautiful views. Recently, I visited my village situated in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh and stayed for one day. It rained almost whole day and provided great opportunity to enjoy fresh and humid breeze. At village, we have old ancestral home build in old Himachali style with black slate top which creates beautiful rain music during rains. My village looks very alive and beautiful during rains. Next month, I am again planning to travel to my village and enjoy rains with my family. Below, I am sharing some of pictures of my village from this visit.

Present this Fort is under the care of Archaeological department of India and people require to buy a Ticket of Rs 10 to visit this Fort.
