Beautiful Historical and Ancient Temples of Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh is popularly known as the state of Gods because of so many temples of different Gods and deities present here. So many famous pilgrim places and shrines are in Himachal Pradesh and every year millions of devotees come to visit these places. In every corner of Himachal Pradesh, we can find a famous or historical temple. I am also bringing to you my collection of some of the famous temples of Himachal Pradesh. In these temples, you can see a huge variation in design, style, and material used. The oldest and ancient temples are either made up of stone or wood and they are standing stable on the ground for so many years which shows the high skills of old craftsmen. Moreover, Himachal Pradesh offers a mix of many cultures so we get a chance to see temples of other religions too like Buddhism.

TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) Rooms Review (with Pictures)

Recently, I stayed in one of guest houses run by TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) in Tirumala. I did online booking for a single room under Rs 500 category from their online booking website www.ttdsevaonline.com. After reaching Tirumala, I did not get any problem in getting a room and system was very smooth so I got room allotment in just 5 minutes. Rooms under this category are average and can accommodate 2 to 5 people. In these rooms, TTD provide two beds with full bedding, two chairs and attached bathroom with Geyser. Room was clean when I entered my room; however, geyser in bathroom was not working plus pillows were not completely clean. Otherwise, it was one of best and economical arrangement available in front of people for stay in Tirumula. Rooms are available in the category of Rs 100, Rs 150, Rs 300, Rs 500 (non AC) and Rs 750, Rs 1000, Rs 3000 (AC). To Shimla by Nalagarh-Ramshehar-Kunihar (Pics of Beautiful Scenery on the Way and my Experience)

I always love to travel by the roads less travelled because by doing so I get a chance to see things which are still hidden from the most of people. On my single day journey to Shimla from Ropar (Punjab) for some work, I decided to travel on the State Highway 16 by following the route Nalagarh-Ramshehar-Kunihar instead of going through the National Highway (NH) 5. Not only this route was shorter by 40 KMs, but I was also expecting some adventure on the way. This journey become a quite exciting and thrilling because I was travelling on this route in the month of July on a rainy day. Though, I was aware that this is a single road and I may face landslides if rain continued. Still, I was ready for the adventure and I started my journey early in the morning on Tata Indigo eCS. My Journey to Masroor Rock Cut Temples (Kangra, Himachal Pradesh) with Pictures and Review

In this post, I am going to share the experience of my recent visit to famous Rock Cut Temples in Masroor Village of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh. This village is about 38 KM away from Kangra Town and here we can see 15 rock-cut temples in Indo-Aryan style. I came to know about this place through the pictures of a friend on Facebook. Last time, I shared my experience of the journey to Shimla through Nalagarh-Ramshehar-Kunihar road . Today, I will discuss with you the Nalagarh-Arki-Basantpur-Luhri road which offers a great thrill to adventure seekers. I have been to Nalagarh many times but I traveled on the Nalagrah-Arki-Basantpur-Luhri stretch for the first time. Nalagarh-Ramshehr-Kunihar road is also a delight for adventure seekers because it is a single road and offers some challenges to drivers. However when we take a turn to Arki and moves towards Basantpur then the level of excitement increases many times. I started from Ropar and moved on NH 205 till Ghanauli and then took turns to Nalagarh road. Kangra Valley (Toy) Train Video and Info

Three years back, I added few pics and info of Kangra Valley Toy Train . This train starts from Pathankot in Pains and ends in Jogindernagar in Hills by traveling a distance of 164 KM. Overall, journey on this train is very interesting and scenic because the train passes through many beautiful locations and high bridges. The train movements on this route started on 1929 and it was constructed by the then British Government . In winters, one can see snow filled Dhauladhar hills while traveling on this train. Though, the service on this train network sometimes stops in the rainy season because of damage to the rail tracks. Those who want to enjoy the beauty of the Kangra belt of Himachal Pradesh, they must travel on this train because the Kangra Valley toy train offers a great option to explore the beauty of Kangra Valley.
