TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) Rooms Review (with Pictures)

Recently, I stayed in one of guest houses run by TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) in Tirumala. I did online booking for a single room under Rs 500 category from their online booking website www.ttdsevaonline.com. After reaching Tirumala, I did not get any problem in getting a room and system was very smooth so I got room allotment in just 5 minutes. Rooms under this category are average and can accommodate 2 to 5 people. In these rooms, TTD provide two beds with full bedding, two chairs and attached bathroom with Geyser. Room was clean when I entered my room; however, geyser in bathroom was not working plus pillows were not completely clean. Otherwise, it was one of best and economical arrangement available in front of people for stay in Tirumula. Journey to Hill Station Paneu (Paneo) and Naag Temple (Lesser Known Gem of Hills)

I always love to visit hilltops because they provide the ultimate beauty and adventure. My journeys to Hatu Peak Narkanda ,  Prashar Lake in Mandi , and to the ancient wooden temple of Skhati Devi in Chhatrari  are some of its examples. This time, I got a chance to visit an ancient Naag Temple situated at Paneu (Paneo) hill station where a British rest house is situated. This hill station and Naag temple are situated 7 KM away from Kungash in Anni Tehsil of Kullu. The ancient Naag Temple is situated at walking distance from the main top and gets a chance to walk through the tall (some are around 50 feet of height) deodar (Pine) Trees. The last six-kilometer road to the Paneo is not metaled and it is very narrow at some points accompanied by a steep climb. This area is predominately an apple-growing belt and we can find many apple orchids on the way.  Around the temple, we can find a small pond that gets its water from rain. The temple also resembles the famous Kamro...

Maa Vaishno Devi visit and Pictures

It is always a very great experience to visit Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in J&K and this time also, I am feeling very relaxed and energetic after getting the blessings of Maa Vaishno. Every year, Lakhs of Vaishno Devi devotees come to visit shrine from various parts of India and world. Last year, approximately 85 lakh people visited the shrine to show their respect for Devi Vaishno, all this clearly show the faith of Indian people on the Goddess Vaishno Devi. It is very easy for any person to visit Mata Vaishno Devi and there are multiple options for reaching temple. Devotees are first required to reach katra town which is 52 KM away from Jammu Town. Direct bus services are available to Katra from all major North Indian towns and capital New Delhi. Nearest Railway station and airport are situated in Jammu; though, Katra-Jammu railway line is likely to become operational soon. For visiting shrine, people reach Katra town in J&K from where shrine is just 12 KM away. For reaching te...

It is very hard for any person from North India to believe that such beautiful hills can be present in South India. Earlier, whenever I visited South India then I only encountered hot sun. Ooty is one of very famous hill stations of India and it is true from the choice of this hill station for shooting of many films. Ooty and adjoining areas are very rich in natural beauty and any person can think about spending a good vacation in Ooty. Tracking to Maa Bharmani Temple situated on the Hilltop (Sansal, Baijnath)

There are many beautiful places around us which are still not connected by the road and we can reach these places by tracking. At my native house in village Mandher (Baijnath), I used to see a small village on the hilltop from childhood and I always thought about reaching this place one days. My requests to reach there in childhood were not accepted by my parent because they thought it is too danger for a child to visit it. From my village, this place is situated at a sharp climb which makes the journey difficult. The only way to reach this place is by foot because this place has no road connectivity because of its location on the hilltop. Thanks to few friends, I started my journey to reach a small yet beautiful temple of Maa Bharmani situated at the hilltop. We took with us water, prepared tea, cooked food and maggi. It was wise decision to carry some water and eatables because these locations can be very hostile and we may not find any person on the way. There are two ways from vill...
