My Andaman Nicobar Vacations

Last Year, I was on six days Andaman Nicobar Islands and Chennai vacation. I visited these places for the first time in my life and it was a great and totally new experience for me. Mainly, we stayed in Port Blair during this vacation and visited many good places in Andaman and Nicobar like Ross island, Havelock islands, Viper Island, Baratang, middle Adman etc. Andaman Nicobar offers a very good collection of beautiful beaches, islands, hills, forests, tribes and sea. As I live in north, therefore it was very different experience for me to see beautiful life present on islands.

Andaman Nicobar offers a very unique destination for all Indians who want to enjoy a beautiful and calm vacation. People can easily find several locations on various islands of Andaman and Nicobar for spending their vacations. Mostly travellers stay and visit places in south of Andaman near Port Blair; however, people can also find many beautiful locations in north part of Andaman where very less numbers of traveller succeed in reaching. Local language in Andaman is Hindi; therefore, people from Hindi speaking states can feel like home in Andaman. Andaman offers a great experience of watching thick forests and rich sea life.

People can enjoy various sea activities like snorkeling, scuba diving for exploring what is present inside sea. As per 2001 census population of Andaman Nicobar islands is just below 4 Lakh; therefore, lots of empty and forest area is available in Andaman and Nicobar. People can also enjoy tribal life in Andaman which is still not touched by outside world. Overall, it is a great experience to visit and stay in Andaman and I hope that I will visit this place many times again in future.

Beautiful Mahakaleshwar Pandoi Devta ji Temple at Pandoa (Shimla)

You are aware of my road trip on the stretch Nalagrah-Ramshehr-Arki-Basantpur-Luhri -ANNI. When from Basantpur-Tatapani Road, we take a right turn on MDR 22 towards Luhri and Rampur then we follow the Satluj river continuously and get a chance to see communities living near Satluj river and in this valley. We also get a chance to see their culture and beliefs. Today, I am going to talk about the Pandoi Devta temple situated just a few meters away from this road at Pandoa village. Himachal Pradesh can be known as a place of thousands of deities; therefore, we say it the land of Gods. This temple is not visible from the road and you need to take an unpaved road that is 300 meters long to reach this temple. Pandoi Devta temple is a set of one main temple and two Kothis.  At this place, we can find the same style of Shivlinga as we find at the Ujjain; therefore, this place is also known as Mahakaleshwar Pandoi Devta ji Shahib. It is believed that this Shivlinga was created by Pan...

Recently, I stayed in one of guest houses run by TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) in Tirumala. Journey to Hill Station Paneu (Paneo) and Naag Temple (Lesser Known Gem of Hills)

I always love to visit hilltops because they provide the ultimate beauty and adventure. My journeys to Hatu Peak Narkanda ,  Prashar Lake in Mandi , and to the ancient wooden temple of Skhati Devi in Chhatrari  are some of its examples. This time, I got a chance to visit an ancient Naag Temple situated at Paneu (Paneo) hill station where a British rest house is situated. This hill station and Naag temple are situated 7 KM away from Kungash in Anni Tehsil of Kullu. The ancient Naag Temple is situated at walking distance from the main top and gets a chance to walk through the tall (some are around 50 feet of height) deodar (Pine) Trees. The last six-kilometer road to the Paneo is not metaled and it is very narrow at some points accompanied by a steep climb. This area is predominately an apple-growing belt and we can find many apple orchids on the way.  Around the temple, we can find a small pond that gets its water from rain. The temple also resembles the famous Kamro...

High Definition Beautiful Pictures of Khajjiar (Lake and ground) Chamba

There will be hardly any person in India who have not heard about the beauty of Khajjiar. Due to its beauty, Khajjiar is also referred to as the mini Switzerland of India. Every year millions of Indian and foreign tourists visit this place. Some stay at this place for a few hours while others stay for one to two days.  Khajjiar comes in the Chamba circuit of tourism in Himachal Pradesh and it is one of the most visited places in Himachal Pradesh. In the Chamba circuit, I have already covered the Historical Shakti Devi Wooden Temple Chhatrari . In my review, Khajjiar is definitely a great place to visit and spent some quality time. However, I will advise you to avoid this place during the peak tourist season because you may find yourself crowded with tourists.  I was lucky to have found some free space for myself during my visit. Khajjiar is a very big green grass ground with a small lake that is surrounded by tall deodar trees. Because of the high altitude location, t...

My Visit to Baudi Sahib Temple and Sarovar (Behrari, Kathgarh, Punjab)

Main Temple  In India, we can find many hidden places with lots of tourism potential but due to no promotion may places remain hidden from eyes of most of the people. One of such beautiful and peaceful place is Baudi Sahib which is famous in the local area for its Baudi (Sarovar). This Sarovar is believed to be very holy and on the festival or auspicious days, many people came here to take dip its waters. The main thing which stops you from reaching this place is the bad road which even becomes worse in the rainy season. To reach Baudi Sahib, you first need to reach Kathgrah, a small town near Ropar. After reaching Kathgrah, you can find two roads to reach Baudi Sahib. Baudi Sahib is around 8 KM away from the main Phagwara-Mohali highway. Here we can find dera of Baba Sarwan Das and present Mahant of the dera takes care of this place. With the efforts of the current Mahant, a big complex and temple have been constructed at this place. All ...
