It is quite easy to find people who love to travel because traveling provides a chance to see many new places. We all get bored of living in the same place and surrounding by the same people; therefore, we all need a break. Travelling provides this opportunity to us. When we travel to a faraway place and into a new location then we get a chance to have a new experience of life. We can increase this experience many times when we choose to travel alone as solo travelers. Today, it is quite easy to find many people traveling alone as solo travelers. Some are people are traveling on the cycle, some are traveling on the motorcycles while some others are using public transport.  Mostly, it is the fear inside every person which stops him from traveling alone.   Last time, I shared my experience of the journey to Shimla through Nalagarh-Ramshehar-Kunihar road . Today, I will discuss with you the Nalagarh-Arki-Basantpur-Luhri road which offers a great thrill to adventure seekers. I have been to Nalagarh many times but I traveled on the Nalagrah-Arki-Basantpur-Luhri stretch for the first time. Nalagarh-Ramshehr-Kunihar road is also a delight for adventure seekers because it is a single road and offers some challenges to drivers. However when we take a turn to Arki and moves towards Basantpur then the level of excitement increases many times.  I started from Ropar and moved on NH 205 till Ghanauli and then took turns to Nalagarh road.  I always love to visit hilltops because they provide the ultimate beauty and adventure. My journeys to Hatu Peak Narkanda ,  Prashar Lake in Mandi , and to the ancient wooden temple of Skhati Devi in Chhatrari  are some of its examples. This time, I got a chance to visit an ancient Naag Temple situated at Paneu (Paneo) hill station where a British rest house is situated. This hill station and Naag temple are situated 7 KM away from Kungash in Anni Tehsil of Kullu. The ancient Naag Temple is situated at walking distance from the main top and gets a chance to walk through the tall (some are around 50 feet of height) deodar (Pine) Trees. The last six-kilometer road to the Paneo is not metaled and it is very narrow at some points accompanied by a steep climb. Today, I will discuss another journey to the top of a hill, earlier, I shared my journey to Prashar Lake , Shakti Devi Temple , and Tracking to Bharmani Maa Temple which all were situated on the hilltop. When a person goes to a hill station then he loves to see hills and peaks. There are some peaks around us that are accessible by the road and one such beautiful peak is Hatu Peak near Narakanda (Himachal). People can easily reach the top of the hill by a narrow road which becomes slippery in the snow. Like most of the peak, the Hatu peak does give a great glimpse of the valleys and hills around. There are many beautiful places around us which are still not connected by the road and we can reach these places by tracking. At my native house in village Mandher (Baijnath), I used to see a small village on the hilltop from childhood and I always thought about reaching this place one days. My requests to reach there in childhood were not accepted by my parent because they thought it is too danger for a child to visit it. From my village, this place is situated at a sharp climb which makes the journey difficult. The only way to reach this place is by foot because this place has no road connectivity because of its location on the hilltop.   There will be hardly any person in India who have not heard about the beauty of Khajjiar. Due to its beauty, Khajjiar is also referred to as the mini Switzerland of India. Every year millions of Indian and foreign tourists visit this place. Some stay at this place for a few hours while others stay for one to two days.  Khajjiar comes in the Chamba circuit of tourism in Himachal Pradesh and it is one of the most visited places in Himachal Pradesh.  Read in Hindi Kangra Fort is one of the largest and famous forts present in Himachal Pradesh. The main attraction of the fort is its strategic location which gives its an advantage over the enemies for many centuries. This fort is constructed on the confluence of two rivers in such a way that it is surrounded by steep natural walls from the three sides. It is believed very few outside attackers were able to win this fort in its long history. A long history of Katoch rulers is also associated with this fort who ruled it for the longest time. Today, I will be giving you an opportunity to see the glimpse of famous and international Shivratri festival held every year in Mandi near the Bhootnath temple. This fair lasts for seven days and starts on the Shivratri day. This fair is attending by hundreds of local deities and millions of people from across the world. It was a great experience for me to attend this fair because I never saw such fair before in my life. If anyone wants to get the glimpse of the life of Pahari people then he needs to visit this fair.
