High Definition Beautiful Pictures of Khajjiar (Lake and ground) Chamba
There will be hardly any person in India who have not heard about the beauty of Khajjiar. Due to its beauty, Khajjiar is also referred to as the mini Switzerland of India. Every year millions of Indian and foreign tourists visit this place. Some stay at this place for a few hours while others stay for one to two days. Khajjiar comes in the Chamba circuit of tourism in Himachal Pradesh and it is one of the most visited places in Himachal Pradesh. In the Chamba circuit, I have already covered the Historical Shakti Devi Wooden Temple Chhatrari. In my review, Khajjiar is definitely a great place to visit and spent some quality time. However, I will advise you to avoid this place during the peak tourist season because you may find yourself crowded with tourists.
I was lucky to have found some free space for myself during my visit. Khajjiar is a very big green grass ground with a small lake that is surrounded by tall deodar trees. Because of the high altitude location, the weather remains pleasant for most of the time. People can find the option of many games and horse riding.
Nearby, we can find a Himachal tourism hotel and restaurant for stay and quality food. There is also the option of some private hotels available too. Khajjiar is a good option for a day stay, however, people need to plan well and should book their hotel in advance at khajjiar or nearby town of Dalhousie which is just 23 KM away.
The unique and amazing thing is to find a so big ground at the hilltop. During the hot summer, it can be difficult to stand in the sun directly.
The small lake present at the Khajjiar is not that famous though people enjoy it and love to take pictures.
It is also amazing to see so tall tree of deodar which are not so easily visible. The wood of these trees is very expensive so the illegal cutting of these trees is very common. Thankfully, here these trees look to be well preserved.

You are aware of my road trip on the stretch Nalagrah-Ramshehr-Arki-Basantpur-Luhri -ANNI. When from Basantpur-Tatapani Road, we take a right turn on MDR 22 towards Luhri and Rampur then we follow the Satluj river continuously and get a chance to see communities living near Satluj river and in this valley. We also get a chance to see their culture and beliefs. Today, I am going to talk about the Pandoi Devta temple situated just a few meters away from this road at Pandoa village. Himachal Pradesh can be known as a place of thousands of deities; therefore, we say it the land of Gods. This temple is not visible from the road and you need to take an unpaved road that is 300 meters long to reach this temple. Pandoi Devta temple is a set of one main temple and two Kothis. At this place, we can find the same style of Shivlinga as we find at the Ujjain; therefore, this place is also known as Mahakaleshwar Pandoi Devta ji Shahib. It is believed that this Shivlinga was created by Pan...
Historical Shakti Devi Wooden Temple Read in Hindi My visit to Bharmour in Chamba was filled with lots of excitement and thrill because of the tough terrain and narrow roads. The most difficult drive was to reach Chhatrari to see the Historical Shakti Devi Temple. Chhatrari village is situated 40 KM from Chamba (HP) on the Chamba-Bharmour Road. I decided to visit this place on the return journey from Bharmour. The road to Chhatrari is a steep ascend and you need to be very cautious while driving on this road. However, once you reach there, it is a paradise and you find it very peaceful. The temple is situated at a distance from where the road ends and you need to travel through the village to see the temple. Front View 680 AD Historical Shakti Devi Temple Chhatrari is situated on the old by foot road to Manimahesh which is not used nowadays because of the direct road connectivity. Chhatrari village is situated at the top of a hill and you enjoy a great view of...
Recently, I stayed in one of guest houses run by TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) in Tirumala. I did online booking for a single room under Rs 500 category from their online booking website www.ttdsevaonline.com. After reaching Tirumala, I did not get any problem in getting a room and system was very smooth so I got room allotment in just 5 minutes. In this post, I am going to share the experience of my recent visit to famous Rock Cut Temples in Masroor Village of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh. This village is about 38 KM away from Kangra Town and here we can see 15 rock-cut temples in Indo-Aryan style. I came to know about this place through the pictures of a friend on Facebook. This place looked very attractive in pictures so I decided to visit this place. I took the route through Dehra town situated at the bank of Beas river. The disadvantage of taking this route is poor road conditions. It is around 35 KM from Dehra. After a journey of one hour from Dehra, I reached the Masroor Rock Cut Temple site. When you reach the temple site, then you first see the backside of the temples. Masroor Rock Cut Temples Th...
