You are aware of my road trip on the stretch Nalagrah-Ramshehr-Arki-Basantpur-Luhri -ANNI. When from Basantpur-Tatapani Road, we take a right turn on MDR 22 towards Luhri and Rampur then we follow the Satluj river continuously and get a chance to see communities living near Satluj river and in this valley. I always love to travel by the roads less travelled because by doing so I get a chance to see things which are still hidden from the most of people. On my single day journey to Shimla from Ropar (Punjab) for some work, I decided to travel on the State Highway 16 by following the route Nalagarh-Ramshehar-Kunihar instead of going through the National Highway (NH) 5. Not only this route was shorter by 40 KMs, but I was also expecting some adventure on the way. This journey become a quite exciting and thrilling because I was travelling on this route in the month of July on a rainy day. Though, I was aware that this is a single road and I may face landslides if rain continued. Still, I was ready for the adventure and I started my journey early in the morning on Tata Indigo eCS. Rewalsar Lake (Mandi) When I was a kid then I used to hear about the Rewalsar town and a small lake situated in the middle of this town from my mother who visited it many times during her childhood. I only got the opportunity to visit Rewalsar town when I was in my twenties and now I have visited it three times. Rewalsar is a popular tourist destination in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh and many tourists visit it. This town is situated just 22 KM away from Mandi city and situated on the old road route which connects Mandi to Punjab.
