Kangra Valley (Toy) Train Video and Info

Three years back, I added few pics and info of Kangra Valley Toy Train. This train starts from Pathankot in Pains and ends in Jogindernagar in Hills by traveling a distance of 164 KM. Overall, journey on this train is very interesting and scenic because the train passes through many beautiful locations and high bridges. The train movements on this route started on 1929 and it was constructed by the then British Government. In winters, one can see snow filled Dhauladhar hills while traveling on this train. Though, the service on this train network sometimes stops in the rainy season because of damage to the rail tracks. Those who want to enjoy the beauty of the Kangra belt of Himachal Pradesh, they must travel on this train because the Kangra Valley toy train offers a great option to explore the beauty of Kangra Valley. Beautiful Mahakaleshwar Pandoi Devta ji Temple at Pandoa (Shimla)

 You are aware of my road trip on the stretch Nalagrah-Ramshehr-Arki-Basantpur-Luhri -ANNI. When from Basantpur-Tatapani Road, we take a right turn on MDR 22 towards Luhri and Rampur then we follow the Satluj river continuously and get a chance to see communities living near Satluj river and in this valley. We also get a chance to see their culture and beliefs. Today, I am going to talk about the Pandoi Devta temple situated just a few meters away from this road at Pandoa village.   Last time, I shared my experience of the journey to Shimla through Nalagarh-Ramshehar-Kunihar road . Today, I will discuss with you the Nalagarh-Arki-Basantpur-Luhri road which offers a great thrill to adventure seekers. I have been to Nalagarh many times but I traveled on the Nalagrah-Arki-Basantpur-Luhri stretch for the first time. Nalagarh-Ramshehr-Kunihar road is also a delight for adventure seekers because it is a single road and offers some challenges to drivers. However when we take a turn to Arki and moves towards Basantpur then the level of excitement increases many times.  I started from Ropar and moved on NH 205 till Ghanauli and then took turns to Nalagarh road. TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) Rooms Review (with Pictures)

Recently, I stayed in one of guest houses run by TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) in Tirumala. I did online booking for a single room under Rs 500 category from their online booking website www.ttdsevaonline.com. After reaching Tirumala, I did not get any problem in getting a room and system was very smooth so I got room allotment in just 5 minutes. Rooms under this category are average and can accommodate 2 to 5 people. In these rooms, TTD provide two beds with full bedding, two chairs and attached bathroom with Geyser. Room was clean when I entered my room; however, geyser in bathroom was not working plus pillows were not completely clean. Otherwise, it was one of best and economical arrangement available in front of people for stay in Tirumula. Rooms are available in the category of Rs 100, Rs 150, Rs 300, Rs 500 (non AC) and Rs 750, Rs 1000, Rs 3000 (AC). Recently, I stayed in Ooty (also known Udhagamandalam) for couple of days. It was totally refreshing experience for me and I am very thrilled after my first visit to a South Indian hill station. It is very hard for any person from North India to believe that such beautiful hills can be present in South India. Earlier, whenever I visited South India then I only encountered hot sun.
