Beautiful Shimla, Hiamchal Pictures Presentation

Capital of Himahcal Pradesh, Shimla is a very popular hill station in India and world. Every year, millions of people visit Shimla from across the world to see its beauty. Shimla was once summer’s capital of India during British rule because British were unable to bear hot weather of Delhi. Shimla offers a very pleasant and semi cold weather in summer season because its presence on hill top. Many tourists reach Shimla during summer to get relief from acute heat wave in planes. During winter, temperature become very cold in Shimla and snow takes place. Shimla offer many old architects from the British Time and small toy train runs between Shimla-Kalka route. I always love to travel by the roads less travelled because by doing so I get a chance to see things which are still hidden from the most of people. On my single day journey to Shimla from Ropar (Punjab) for some work, I decided to travel on the State Highway 16 by following the route Nalagarh-Ramshehar-Kunihar instead of going through the National Highway (NH) 5. Not only this route was shorter by 40 KMs, but I was also expecting some adventure on the way. This journey become a quite exciting and thrilling because I was travelling on this route in the month of July on a rainy day. Historical Shakti Devi Wooden Temple Read in Hindi My visit to Bharmour in Chamba was filled with lots of excitement and thrill because of the tough terrain and narrow roads. The most difficult drive was to reach Chhatrari to see the Historical Shakti Devi Temple. Chhatrari village is situated 40 KM from Chamba (HP) on the Chamba-Bharmour Road. I decided to visit this place on the return journey from Bharmour. The road to Chhatrari is a steep ascend and you need to be very cautious while driving on this road. However, once you reach there, it is a paradise and you find it very peaceful. Journey to Hill Station Paneu (Paneo) and Naag Temple (Lesser Known Gem of Hills)

 I always love to visit hilltops because they provide the ultimate beauty and adventure. My journeys to Hatu Peak Narkanda ,  Prashar Lake in Mandi , and to the ancient wooden temple of Skhati Devi in Chhatrari  are some of its examples. This time, I got a chance to visit an ancient Naag Temple situated at Paneu (Paneo) hill station where a British rest house is situated. This hill station and Naag temple are situated 7 KM away from Kungash in Anni Tehsil of Kullu. The ancient Naag Temple is situated at walking distance from the main top and gets a chance to walk through the tall (some are around 50 feet of height) deodar (Pine) Trees. The last six-kilometer road to the Paneo is not metaled and it is very narrow at some points accompanied by a steep climb. Information and Glimpse of International Shivratri Festival Mandi (Himachal Pradesh)

In the previous post, I shared with information and pictures of the ancient  Bhootnath Temple  of Lord Shiva in Mandi town . Today, I will be giving you an opportunity to see the glimpse of famous and international Shivratri festival held every year in Mandi near the Bhootnath temple. This fair lasts for seven days and starts on the Shivratri day. This fair is attending by hundreds of local deities and millions of people from across the world.
